This necklace is by far one of the most special for our brand. It was not necessarily made for everyday wear, but for special occasions, but can of course be worn both ways. We often forget how majestic and magical these animals are. Without them, our ecosystem would not be the same and, like all other marine life, they are neglected.
So with this necklace we decided to donate the profits to an organization www.savethewhales.org that helps keep our whales alive.
The material is stainless steel and the chain is also made of silver colour stainless steel. Even if you wear it every day, it's still perfect for water and land! 🐋🌊
Thank you so much for helping the whales. 🐋
Here are some facts about Whales:
Here are some facts about Whales🐋:
There are two types of whale; baleen and toothed. The key difference between them is the way they feed and what they have inside their mouth.
Baleen whales have baleen plates, or sheets, which sieve prey from seawater. Toothed whales have teeth and they actively hunt fish, squid and other sea creatures. Dolphins and porpoises all have teeth and rather confusingly are known as ‘toothed whales’ too!
Another obvious difference between baleen and toothed whales is the number of blowholes on top of their head; baleen whales have two whereas toothed whales have one. There are only 15 baleen whale species and they are generally larger than the 77 species of toothed whales – except for the mighty sperm whale, the largest toothed whale.
The humpback whale is one of the largest animals on Earth, growing to lengths from 14–17 m (46–56 ft) and weigh up to 40 metric tons (44 short tons) and can live up to 80-90 years. Like whale sharks and basking sharks they too filter feed for tiny krill or small pelagic fishes and are totally harmless to people. These whales are known for their singing that can be heard up to 20 miles away to attract females.
